Job summary

ACCIONA Energía in the Philippines seeks a Senior Accountant to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, treasury management, tax compliance and internal controls. The role ensures accurate records and timely month-end and year-end closes in line with Philippine regulatory requirements.

The candidate will work with business units, banks and auditors, driving process improvements and finance transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy/Finance required; CPA is a plus.
• Progressive accounting experience with 5–8 years total.
• 2+ years in a senior accounting role preferred.
• Experience in Philippine corporate accounting, treasury and reporting.
• SAP ERP and financial reporting under PFRS/IFRS experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and reclassifications.
• Ensure compliance with PFRS/IFRS and internal policies.
• Manage cash position and liquidity forecasting.
• Prepare investment reports and coordinate with banks.
• Oversee tax compliance and regulatory reporting.
