Job summary

Boomering is seeking a Senior Accountant for a permanent work-from-home role, focusing on compliance for a major property development client in Australia. The candidate will prepare BAS/IAS, P&L, tax returns, and reviews across MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks, and other tools.

Ideal applicants have 5+ years in AU tax compliance accounting, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple clients with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 5 yrs+ experience in tax compliance accounting for an AU Accounting Firm
• Efficient in completing work
• Experience with managing multiple clients
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Excellent communication skills
• To be able to read and understand the law
• Understand property development, including land subdivisions, GST margin scheme
• Software: MYOB AE, BGL 360, Now Infinity, Document Manager
• Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks, Suitefiles, FYI Docs

Responsibilities

• Prepare BAS / IAS returns
• Prepare P&L statements, balance sheets and depreciation schedules for business clients
• Prepare Income Tax Returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships, superfunds
• Review client accounting records in MYOB, Quickbooks, Xero, etc. to provide accurate and timely management reports
• Provide assistance in relation to taxation matters including FBT, CGT, income tax and GST
• Understand and calculate Division 7A loan calculations and minimum repayments
• Do current company searches and Dividend resolutions
