Job summary

Boomering is seeking a remote AU Tax Senior Accountant to join our growing practice. You will handle Australian tax compliance, financial statement prep, and client reporting for a diverse client base from a home-based setup.

The role offers growth within a fully remote environment across time zones. Ideal candidates have 5–8 years accounting experience including Australian tax, CPA qualification, and proficiency with Xero, MYOB, QBO, LodgeiT, and related cloud tools.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years accounting and business services experience, including Australian taxation experience.
• CPA qualification or equivalent preferred.
• Experience managing a portfolio of multiple clients across various entity types.
• Proficiency with Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks Online, LodgeiT, and Microsoft SharePoint; familiarity with XPM and FYI Docs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review General Ledgers, P&L Statements, Balance Sheets, depreciation schedules and supporting workpapers.
• Prepare and lodge Income Tax Returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships including Division 7A loans and CGT.
• Prepare IAS and BAS and assist with GST, FBT, and other compliance obligations.
• Review client records in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks Online, and LodgeiT; produce timely management reports.
• Manage full job lifecycles from WIP to lodgment; coordinate with managers, partners, and clients to ensure on-time completion.
• Work within budgeted hours and report delays or overruns promptly.
• Assist with designing and improving workflows and processes; promote compliance and best practices.
