The Senior Accountant supports the Accounting Manager and Controller in all aspect of accounting related tasks leading to the preparation of Financial Reports. Assists the team in various analysis of the balance sheet and profit and loss statements. In most instances, you are the point of contact among associates, managers and directors in enforcing and monitoring compliance with company-wide accounting policies and procedures.
Assists the Accounting Manager and Controller in the month end closing of books which involves preparation of schedule, analysis and posting of accounts leading to preparation of Financial Reports and consolidation.
Ensures the integrity of accounting information by reviewing and verifying, transactions as posted by the team. Assists in resolving discrepancies.
Prepares analysis of balance sheet and profit and loss accounts to identify variances, provide explanation and recommendation if deemed required.
Assists in monthly bank reconciliation, AR-GL reconciliation, and AP-GL reconciliation.
Assists in yearend audit of the Company books which involves providing Financial Reports and audit schedules to external auditors.
Assists in software/ERP migration.
Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
Other related tasks as maybe required.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
MBA/CPA preferred
At least more than 5 years related experience working in a similar position
General knowledge in accounting/financial reporting principles in compliance with US GAAP
Experience developing financial reports and metrics
Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various management levels
Highly meticulous and organized
Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong Excel skills
Knowledge with ERP accounting software and migration experience is an advantage
This position is based in the Philippines and will provide dedicated business support to Pacific American Fish Company (PAFCO).
