Job summary

Remote Employee BPO is seeking an AU General Accountant to manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of client accounts. You will handle AP/AR/GL, month-end close, and accurate financial statements under a fractional CFO framework.

Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Xero, and MYOB, plus advanced Excel, is required. You will work on-site in City of San Fernando, Pampanga, with an HMO, rice allowance, and a 7:00 AM–4:00 PM schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Bookkeeping certifications are a plus (QB/MYOB/Xero).
• 2–4+ years of accounting experience, multi-client preferred.
• Experience with full-cycle accounting and month-end/year-end close.
• Strong client-facing communication and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Support full-cycle accounting for 4–8 client accounts (AP/AR/GL).
• Assist monthly and year-end close processes to meet deadlines.
• Prepare P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Maintain books across QuickBooks, Xero, MYOB; tailor to client chart of accounts.
• Assist CFO with ad hoc reporting, variance analysis, and data requests.
• Communicate with client staff to gather docs and resolve queries.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Support manage full-cycle accounting — accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, journal entries, and bank/credit card reconciliations — for a portfolio of 4–8 client accounts.
• Support monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met across all assigned clients.
• Prepare accurate financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for review by the assigned Fractional CFO.
• Maintain clean, well-organized books across multiple accounting platforms (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks Online) tailored to individual client's chart of accounts and workflows.
• Support fractional CFO with ad hoc reporting, variance analysis, and data requests for client meetings.
• Communicate directly with client-side staff to gather documentation, resolve discrepancies, and answer routine accounting questions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax filing deadlines, and client-specific policies.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of financial data across unrelated client businesses.

Qualifications:

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Bookkeeping certifications (e.g., QuickBooks, MYOB, Xero) a plus.

Experience

• 2–4+ years of accounting experience, ideally within a multi-client environment —BPO/outsourced accounting, or a fractional/outsourced finance firm.
• Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle accounting and month-end/year-end close.
• Comfortable managing competing deadlines across several client close cycles simultaneously.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency across multiple cloud accounting platforms: QuickBooks Online, Xero, and/or MYOB.
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills.
• Familiarity with practice-management tools (e.g., ServiceM8, Zoho) and secure document-sharing platforms.

Soft Skills

• Strong client-facing communication skills.
• High attention to detail and sound independent judgment.
• Excellent organizational skills and deadline management across concurrent engagements.
