DePuy Synthes in Taguig, Philippines, seeks a Senior Analyst to join the Global Services Finance team’s Legal Entity Accounting group. You will help ensure the completeness and accuracy of US and Local GAAP and tax reporting, coordinating with tax centers and auditors.

The role involves month-, quarter-, and year-end closes, journal entries, reconciliations, tax reporting for the Philippines, and supporting audits under SOX/compliance.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for country in scope.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and management reports related to tax, fully observing Compliance, Internal Audit, and SOX requirements.
• Support auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities – local statutory audit and reporting, statistical reporting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in completing the local statutory audit.
• Support CTC and collaborate with stakeholders for tax audit requirements.
• Prepare monthly tax reports for Philippines and coordinate with CTC for tax reporting requirements.
• Manage ad hoc one-time requests and participate in projects as required.
• Generate ideas and drive continuous improvement for process efficiency and automation.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with employees at all levels.

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Senior Analyst, located in Taguig, Philippines.

This role will be part the Global Services Finance team in the Legal Entity Accounting process area. The Global Services Finance organization provides best-in-class, cost-effective financial services, and compliance—in a J&J way—to our Operating Companies around the world.

The Legal Entity Accounting team is responsible for the completeness and accuracy of both the US and Local GAAP & Tax reporting working closely with the Country Tax Centers (CTC). This includes but is not limited to recording and maintaining the accuracy of statutory ledgers, focus on ensuring the correct tax accounting and liaison / coordination with internal and external audit teams.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or accountancy
• CPA, CMA, MBA and/or other financial certifications is preferred

Required:

• At least 4 years of professional experience under Finance & Accounting
• Experience in local statutory audit and reporting
• Open to work in flexible shifts to align with global or regional responsibilities (Americas / EMEA / Asia)
• Basic ERP knowledge (SAP)
• MS Office proficient – Advanced MS Excel knowledge
• Be open to new ideas, rapid change and embracing new technologies
• Strong analytical skills
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with employees at all levels
• Persistent/committed and able to work under time pressure

Preferred:

• Experience in a Shared Service Centre of a multinational corporation or BPO
• Experience in a Global Account to Report function of a large multi-state company
• Experience in preparing Philippines tax reports (EWT, FWT, WVAT)
• Ability to handle ambiguity and fluid situations, demonstrating a pragmatic approach
• Successfully manage multiple priorities, be very organized and work efficiently to tight deadlines
• Solid US GAAP accounting knowledge
