Job Description:

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n) A2R DPS Senior Analyst, located in Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines. This role will be part the Global Services Finance team in the Legal Entity Accounting process area. The Global Services Finance organization provides best-in-class, cost-effective financial services, and compliance—in a J&J way—to our Operating Companies around the world. The Legal Entity Accounting team is responsible for the completeness and accuracy of both the US and Local GAAP & Tax reporting working closely with the Country Tax Centers (CTC). This includes but is not limited to recording and maintaining the accuracy of statutory ledgers, focus on ensuring the correct tax accounting and liaison / coordination with internal and external audit teams.

Key Responsibilities

Facilitate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for country in scope
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and management reports related to tax, fully observing Compliance, Internal Audit, and SOX requirements
Support auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities – local statutory audit and reporting, statistical reporting
Collaborate with different stakeholders in completing the local statutory audit
Support CTC and collaborates with different stakeholders for tax audit requirements
Prepare monthly tax reports for Philippines and coordinates with CTC for tax reporting requirements
Manage ad hoc one-time requests, participates in projects as/when required
Generate ideas, foster, and implement continuous improvement mindset, identifying and pursuing process efficiency opportunities
Support automation initiatives and execute process improvements to drive efficiency

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or accountancy CPA, CMA, MBA and/or other financial certifications is preferred

Required

At least 4 years of professional experience under Finance & Accounting
Experience in local statutory audit and reporting
Basic ERP knowledge (SAP)
MS Office proficient – Advanced
MS Excel knowledge
Be open to new ideas, rapid change and embracing new technologies
Strong analytical skills
Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information

Preferred

Experience in a Shared Service Centre of a multinational corporation or BPO
Experience in a Global Account to Report function of a large multi-state company
Experience in preparing Philippines tax reports (EWT, FWT, WVAT)
Ability to handle ambiguity and fluid situations, demonstrating a pragmatic approach
Successfully manage multiple priorities, be very organized and work efficiently to tight deadlines
Solid US GAAP accounting knowledge
Digital/ intelligent automation capabilities

Others

This position will require up to 10-20% international travel. Open to work in flexible shifts to align with global or regional responsibilities (Americas / EMEA / Asia) Fluent in English, other language skills desirable.
