Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Senior Analyst in Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines, to join the Global Services Finance (GSF) Accounting team. The role covers daily accounting operations, period closes, reconciliations, and compliance with SOX and internal controls.

You will work with cross-functional teams, support audits, and help drive process improvements while maintaining accurate financial reporting and strong controls. Travel up to 10–20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in inventory and COGS.
• Experience in Account to Report or General Accounting process.
• Proficient with MS Excel and standard Microsoft tools including MS Teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organized and meet deadlines.
• Open to new ideas, rapid change and adopting new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Execute accounting and daily operations for GSF Accounting process area for high complex MRCs.
• Close financial periods timely per calendar and SLA, with compliance including SOX.
• Maintain completeness, accuracy and validity of actuals reported within scope.
• Deep knowledge of Worldwide Procedures and compliance requirements for respective areas.
• Regular focus on Balance Sheet reconciliations to minimize open items.
• Provide on-the-job training for new team members / BPO partners.
• Support auditors and regulatory authorities with required activities.
• Adhere to worldwide policies, identify risks and propose solutions.
• Ensure strong internal controls to achieve adequate audit ratings.

This role will be part of the Global Services Finance team in the GS Finance Accounting process area. The Global Services Finance organization provides best-in-class, cost-effective financial services, and compliance—in a J&J way—to our Operating Companies around the world.

The GSF accounting team is responsible for the complete and accurate accounting for all transactions. This includes but is not limited to creating the Sales and corresponding Purchase orders, reconciling out of balances, monitoring ageing, and performing balance sheet reconciliations.

Maintain Operational Excellence

• Responsible for executing accounting and daily operations for GSF Accounting process area for high complex MRCs.
• Timely closing & execution of financial periods as per closing calendar and in accordance with SLA commitments, fully observing Compliance, Internal Audit & SOX requirements.
• Accountable for completeness, accuracy and validity of the actuals reported within process/entity scope.
• Deep expertise, fully knowledgeable of the Worldwide Procedures and compliance requirements for respective areas.
• Regular focus on Balance Sheet reconciliations to minimize open items.
• On the job training for new team members / BPO partners.
• Support auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities.
• Understand, adhere, and execute per worldwide policies and procedures. Identify compliance risks and recommend solutions.
• Ensure strong internal controls are in place, in order to achieve “adequate” internal and external audit ratings.

• Recruit, Onboard and Training of new joiners.
• Natural Back-up of the Team Lead in handling the team

• Execute global Strategy & Solutions in line with taxonomy.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Education: Minimum Bachelor’s level degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business discipline
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience preferably in inventory and COGS.
• Experience in Account to Report or General Accounting process
• Above basic skill in using standard Microsoft tools including MS Teams
• Can manage multiple priorities, be very organized and work efficiently to tight deadlines.
• Open to new ideas, rapid change and embracing new technologies.

PREFERRED

• Experiencein a Shared Service or BPO organization.
• Experience in SAP.
• Experience in participating in Continuous Improvement initiatives

Others

• This position will require up to 10-20% international travel.
• Open to work in flexible shifts to align with global or regional responsibilities (Americas / EMEA / Asia)
• Fluent in English, other language skills desirable.
