Mets Cold Storage Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to strengthen the Finance team and ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the company’s accounting and financial reporting.

The role focuses on maintaining strong accounting processes, internal controls, and audit readiness as the business grows, with a detail-oriented professional who can document processes and provide reliable financial information.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA strongly preferred.
5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a senior accounting or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of PFRS/IFRS, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
Experience with month-end and year-end closing.
Experience working with external and statutory auditors.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting activities and ensure transactions are recorded.
Lead monthly and annual closing processes.
Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with PFRS/IFRS and company policies.
Review general ledger accounts and ensure reconciliations.
Prepare and review accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, provisions, and other balance sheet accounts.
Ensure audit readiness and support external audits.
Monitor accounts payable and receivable, cash management, and banking transactions.
Assist in management reporting and financial analysis.
