Job summary

Global Staff Connections is seeking an AU Internal Senior Accountant to support the CFO with financial control, reporting, and tax compliance. This role covers month-end close, cash flow management, payroll support, and maintaining accurate records across the business.

You will work closely with leadership to drive process improvements, ensure accuracy of MYOB workflows, and contribute to annual budgets while upholding confidentiality and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA qualification preferred but not required.
• Minimum 3 years in internal accounting/finance roles.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes and entries.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations, schedules, and analyses of P&L and balance sheet.
• Assist in monthly financial analysis and reporting packs.
• Prepare year-end working papers and consolidated financial statements.
• Prepare year-end tax calculations and draft income tax returns.
• Prepare BAS, IAS, annual tax returns, and related analyses.
• Assist with annual budget preparation and cost driver analysis.
• Support payroll review and processing activities and payroll records.
• Assist with ASIC filings and company secretarial matters.
• Support daily banking activities and cash flow projections.
• Manage trust account transactions and settlements.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial controls and processes.
