Job summary

The Senior Accountant role at VBP Back Office Solutions Inc. focuses on supporting Australian clients across accounting, taxation, and advisory services. You will review complex work, guide juniors, and serve as a key client contact to ensure accurate, timely deliverables.

You will manage engagements, liaise with Partners and Managers, and contribute to training while maintaining high-quality standards. A fixed Mon-Fri schedule and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with Australian accounting and taxation clients.
• Strong technical knowledge of Australian taxation, accounting standards, compliance requirements, and business structures.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, income tax returns, BAS, IAS, and other compliance obligations for Australian entities.
• Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in income tax, CGT, GST, and FBT.
• Experience managing client relationships and communicating directly with clients.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, BAS, IAS, and other compliance obligations for Australian entities.
• Manage end-to-end client engagements, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.
• Build client relationships and act as primary contact for accounting and taxation matters.
• Assist with tax planning, business structuring, and advisory services.
• Review work by junior team members and provide coaching and feedback.
• Collaborate with Partners and Managers on complex matters and advisory projects.
• Contribute to training, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support workflow coordination and maintain quality standards across the team.
• Assist with onboarding and development of team members; provide leadership support when required.
