Job summary

VBP in Cebu City is seeking a Senior Accountant to support Australian clients across accounting, taxation and advisory services. You will manage engagements, review complex work, and guide junior staff while liaising with Partners and Managers.

The role requires 6+ years' experience with Australian clients, strong knowledge of Australian tax and accounting rules, and proficiency in Xero/XPM, Excel, Word and Outlook.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with Australian accounting and taxation clients.
• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation, accounting standards, and compliance requirements.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, tax returns, BAS, IAS for Australian entities.
• Proficient in income tax, CGT, GST compliance, and FBT.
• Experience managing client relationships and communicating with clients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, BAS, IAS for Australian entities.
• Manage end-to-end client engagements and ensure deadlines are met.
• Build client relationships and serve as primary contact for accounting and taxation matters.
• Assist with tax planning, business structuring, and advisory services.
• Review junior staff work and provide coaching and feedback.
• Collaborate with Partners and Managers on complex matters and projects.
• Contribute to training and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Support workflow coordination and quality standards across the team.
• Assist onboarding and development of team members.
