The Opportunity
Your initial client will be a high school in New York City that first opened in 2009. It's an exciting environment with opportunities for growth at the school as well as at the BPO. You will be hired through Pivotl Solutions which is a BPO in the Philippines but working directly with the high school and reporting to the CFO of the charter high school. It is a unique situation in which you can be mentored by both the CFO of the school as well as the CEO of the BPO.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts accurately
Produce timely and accurate monthly financial statements and special reports in accordance with applicable standards
Manage the month-end close process, including preparing work papers, journal entries, and posting bank and credit card transactions
Ensure proper and compliant revenue recognition
Verify all expenses are accurately captured in the correct period and account
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Review monthly actuals versus budget
Assist with audit preparation and tax filings
Process payroll for the entire organization
Perform other accounting duties as assigned
Provide general HR admin duties
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
Minimum of 5 years of full-time professional accounting experience
Strong knowledge of US GAAP / IFRS and financial analysis best practices
Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Proactive, innovative, and hands‑on attitude
Experience with data validation and management
Technical & Bonus Skills
Proficient in Quickbooks
Experience with US-based companies
CPA license preferred but not required
Advanced Excel skills (comfortable maintaining complex spreadsheets)
Experience with Google Workspace
Strong technical aptitude and comfort with modern accounting tools

Compensation
₱40,000 – ₱50,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
