Job summary

IFF, a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences, is seeking a qualified Accountant for Manila hybrid role. You will manage month-end close, prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and provide timely reporting under US GAAP and local standards.

Responsibilities include statutory financial statements, SOX-compliant controls, audit support, tax analysis, and working with Global Business Services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/economics or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting, financial reporting, controllership, auditing or related finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, local accounting standards, statutory reporting requirements, taxation, and financial controls.
• Experience with financial close activities in multinational or complex environments.
• Familiarity with SOX, internal controls, compliance and risk management frameworks.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel skills.

• Collaborate with Global Business Services for consistent processes.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audit activities with documentation and timely responses.
• Maintain SOX-based internal controls and risk-management documentation and compliance.
• Support tax compliance activities, tax audits, regulatory reviews and government inspections.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Where You’ll Make a Difference

• Maintain compliance with internal controls, risk management requirements, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) frameworks.
• Support tax compliance activities, tax audits, regulatory reviews, and government inspections by providing financial analysis and required documentation.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, controllership, auditing, or related finance functions.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, local accounting standards, statutory reporting requirements, taxation, and financial controls.
• Practical experience in financial close activities within multinational or complex business environments.
• Strong understanding of SOX, internal controls, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
