Job summary

Luxoft is building the TeraVM 5G RIC team to develop and maintain the framework and network functions for a scalable 5G test/monitoring solution. The role involves working with containerized micro-services and OpenAPIv3 in a modern telecom environment.

You will contribute to extending capabilities for 5G core network testing, signaling, throughput, and session handling, with a focus on performance and reliability in OpenStack/hybrid cloud contexts.

Qualifications

• Advanced Python (concurrency, typing, performance profiling) with packaging/testing practices.
• API design for REST/gRPC services (FastAPI/Flask).
• Core AI/ML fundamentals: prompting, embeddings, evaluation, MLOps.
• Experience with major ML frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow) and orchestration.
• Data engineering at scale (pandas/polars/SQL/Spark).
• 5G/telecom domain knowledge: core network architecture and SBI/NAS protocols.
• Knowledge of network test concepts: traffic generation, topology, KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert on 5G Service Based Architecture for RIC OpenRAN testing.
• Collaborate with product management to translate customer requirements into features.
• Expand functionality and capabilities of 5G Network Functions.
• Ensure product quality and performance with automated tests in CI pipelines.
• Identify bottlenecks and propose effective architectural solutions.
• Expose features via a useful configuration and management interface.
