RF Engineer
Job Summary:
The RF Engineer will be responsible for conducting field activities including network surveys, drive tests, and customer complaint analysis. The role involves performing RF optimization tasks, validating signal quality, preparing technical reports, and providing support for network performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys for new or existing telecom sites (4G/5G/LTE).
- Perform drive tests and walk tests using standard tools (e.g., TEMS, Nemo, Genex Probe, etc.).
- Analyze and validate network signal performance and coverage quality.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to network issues.
- Prepare detailed survey, drive test, and analysis reports with recommendations for network improvement.
- Support site integration and on-air validation.
- Coordinate with optimization and implementation teams for issue resolution.
- Ensure all field activities comply with project quality and safety standards.
- Maintain logs of daily activities, test results, and site visits.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in RF
- Knowledge of RF parameters, KPIs, and network performance metrics.
- Proficient in drive test tools (TEMS, Nemo, Genex Probe, etc.) and post-processing tools (Actix, MapInfo, etc.).
- Basic understanding of site planning, antenna systems, and RF theory.
- Good analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
- Willingness to travel and work on-field as required.
- Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines.
Preferred:
- Experience in LTE/5G optimization.
- Knowledge of site audit, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with customer complaint validation processes.
