Keywords Studios seeks an Animation Lead to provide leadership to the animation team, conduct first-level animation reviews, and contribute hands-on work when needed. You will establish workflows, clarify client requirements, and assist with effort estimates and bids to keep projects on time and within scope.

The role emphasizes collaboration with animation artists, project managers, and leads to ensure productivity, quality, and timely delivery across game and cinematic projects.

Qualifications

• High quality 3D animations for characters or creatures (keyframe and mocap).
• Ability to lead animation teams and review work, providing actionable feedback.
• Strong communication to translate client requirements into deliverables.
• Experience in establishing workflows, estimating effort, and bids for animation projects.
• Familiarity with production pipelines for games and cinematics.

Responsibilities

• Understand client briefs and project complexity; collaborate with artists and PMs.
• Lead and review animation work, provide feedback, and allocate tasks.
• Assist in creating bids and clarifying client requirements.
• Drive production workflows to meet quality, timeline, and productivity goals.
• Mentor team members and drive delivery of high-quality animations.
