Job summary

Cohu, Inc. is seeking a senior individual-contributor to lead as the expert for semiconductor backend test within the product team. You will validate recommendations and collaborate with engineering to refine models, ensuring actions align with real-world test-floor behavior.

The role requires translating complex domain knowledge into actionable product insights, with strong communication to bridge engineering and customer operations and occasional regional/international travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a product engineer (test) or equivalent in semiconductor IDM/OSAT.
• Hands-on semiconductor backend test experience: characterization, yield analysis, disposition, and equipment behavior.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for semiconductor backend test within the product team.
• Review and validate product recommendations before customer engineers act on them.
• Partner with engineering/product teams to define requirements and refine recommendation logic.
• Distinguish equipment-related contributions to yield, UPH, and uptime loss from process-related causes.
• Engage with customers on-site to ensure deployment and usage of the product.
• Guide customers in integrating prescriptive Test Operations into production/workflows.
• Act as voice of the customer within the product team.
• Support pre-sales activities including demonstrations and evaluations.
