Job summary

Cohu, Inc. is seeking an experienced Equipment and Customer Success Specialist to act as the on-site expert for semiconductor final test handlers. You will guide repairs, drive resolution, and translate business needs into technical scope while identifying improvements for customers and internal teams.

This role requires 90% site-based work in the Philippines and periodic international travel. You will also maintain strong on-site relationships, monitor customer health, and coordinate with sales

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on repair and maintenance experience on semiconductor final test handlers (MATRiX, MT9510, SO1/2K, MT9918).
• Strong electromechanical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Working knowledge of AI tools to support troubleshooting, documentation, and analysis.
• Willingness to be based at the customer site 90% of the time; travel within the Philippines with occasional international travel.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the on-site equipment domain expert for semiconductor final test handlers—pick-and-place platforms (MATRiX, MT9510) and gravity-feed platforms (SO1K/2K, MT9918).
• Provides proficient recommendations for equipment-related issues and guides root-cause analysis to resolution.
• Offers technical guidance during repair and maintenance work on an as-needed basis, including backup support when others are unavailable.
• Uses equipment experience to identify improvement and feature opportunities for the customer and internal teams.
• Drives critical tasks to closure and pushes internal teams or the customer when resolution is needed.
• Leads technical gathering and translates business needs into technical scope.
• Serves as the primary on-site point of contact, building trusted-advisor relationships at operational and management levels.
• Monitors account health, engagement, and satisfaction; proactively mitigates risks.
• Advocates for the customer internally by channeling feedback to product, engineering, and support teams.
• Coordinates with sales and applications teams to identify growth opportunities.
