Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a seasoned supervisor to oversee start-up, pilot and development production activities, ensuring a smooth transition to mass production.

You will manage shopfloor control, manpower planning, and headcount to hit safety, quality and delivery targets while leading daily start-up operations. Responsibilities include ensuring 4M readiness, training operators on new processes, and optimizing ramp utilization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related).
• 5+ years experience in semiconductor production environments.
• Knowledge of production flow, line balancing, manpower planning, and productivity analysis.
• Strong shopfloor supervision and ability to manage operations under uncertainty.
• Effective cross-functional communication and decision-making under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Supervise start-up, pilot, and development production activities from NPI to mass production.
• Manage shopfloor control, manpower planning, and headcount to meet safety, quality, and delivery targets.
• Lead daily execution of start-up operations including pilot runs and validation lots.
• Ensure readiness of 4M (Man, Machine, Method, Material) before line start.
• Train operators on new processes and product requirements; build a multi-skilled workforce.
• Monitor output, line balance, and operator performance; respond to process deviations.
