Job summary

SM Retail Inc. in Makati is seeking a store manager to drive departmental sales, build strong customer relationships, and ensure visual and service standards across the store. The role focuses on leadership, coaching, and daily performance monitoring.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in business administration, at least two years in retail management, and strong communication and interpersonal skills to lead a team and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or similar.
• At least 2 years’ related retail work experience in a managerial role.
• Strong leadership, customer service-oriented with in-depth knowledge of basic business management processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitors departmental sales vs. target on a daily basis, identifies causes of poor performance and recommends solutions to Regional Manager for proper action.
• Proactively seeks customer interactions, builds sustained relationships with top 100 customers and converts the ones with complaints into happy shoppers.
• Explains display standards to sales clerks and regularly checks if items are arranged properly, areas are clean and asks for repair or replacement of broken fixtures.
• Conducts daily checking on team's knowledge (product, promos, store layout/services), look (uniform, posture, grooming), personality (greeting, spiels).
