Job summary

North Bay Regional Center is seeking a Participant Choice Coordinator to lead the expansion of Self-Determination services. The role supports case management staff, trains NBRC participants and families, and helps access SDP funding and spending plans with a focus on timely service delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant bachelor's degree, 2+ years with developmental disabilities, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least two years’ experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities; regional center experience strongly preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
• Minimum experience qualifications may be waived depending on the agency’s need for specialized skills (such as language abilities).
• Minimum education experience requirements will not be waived.

Responsibilities

• Provide referrals to Self-Determination Orientation
• Work closely with Case Management to develop the Self-Determination Budget
• Review Spending Plan to ensure alignment with applicable laws, regulations and directives
• Organize and maintain tracking system SDP referrals and enrollments
• Entering information into database
• Coordinate meetings for new participants and renewals to meet timelines
• Participate in outreach events
• Ongoing communication with Case Management, Fiscal, SDP participants, families, IFs and FMS
