Job summary

Business Trends Philippines is seeking a capable supervisor for seed processing operations in Metro Manila. You will lead a Crew Leader-supported team, ensure SOPs are followed, and maintain high customer service standards.

You will oversee seed handling tasks, quality checks, data entry, safety compliance, storage activities, and equipment operation, while supporting cross-functional coordination with breeding and trialing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree/undergraduate in agriculture or related field.
• Proficient in using Microsoft tools.
• Excellent in communication.

Responsibilities

• Team supervision: works closely with a Crew Leader to provide direction, training, and support to team members and ensure SOPs are followed.
• Processing operations: oversees seed handling tasks including seed receiving, re-packing, and coordinating with Breeding and Trialing processing.
• Quality control & data management: ensures quality checks are performed correctly and data is recorded accurately with proper documentation practices.
• Safety and compliance: ensures all safety protocols and compliance are followed in all operations.
• Storage activities: supports material and cold storage management.
• Equipment operation: may operate and maintain processing equipment in coordination with Crew Leads; can act in absence of Crew Lead.
• Flexibility: able to work technically and efficiently in all activities.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Crew Lead.
• Maintain elevated level of customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Team Supervision:Works closely with a Crew Leader (Breeding and Trialing) to provide direction, training, and support to team members. This includes resolving conflicts and ensuring all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed
• Processing Operations:Oversees tasks related to seed handling, which can include seed receiving, re-packing, and ensuring the upkeep of equipment coordination with processing of Breeding and Trialing
• Quality Control & Data Management:Ensures quality checks are performed correctly and all required data is recorded accurately using appropriate software and good documentation practices in coordination with Crew Leads
• Safety and Compliance:Ensures all safety protocols and compliance are followed in all operations
• Storage Activities: Support activities related to material and cold storage management
• Equipment Operation:May involve operating and maintaining various processing equipment in coordination with Crew Leads and support crew. Can do responsibility in absence of Crew Lead.
• Flexible and able to work technically and efficiently in all activities.
