Job summary

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. in Tagum, Philippines, is seeking a Security Specialist to execute and implement the company’s security plans and activities across all areas of responsibility.

You will conduct security audits and site inspections, review CCTV and access control systems, monitor guards, investigate incidents, and coordinate with law enforcement and emergency teams to prevent risks to personnel and property.

Qualifications

• Education: College degree required.
• Experience: 5+ years in industrial security or related field.
• Licenses: LESP Security Manager/Specialist and CSP preferred.

Responsibilities

As a Security Specialist, you will be responsible for executing and implementing the company’s plans, protocols, and activities related to Security Management across all areas of responsibility .

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Security Operations & Site Inspections:

Conduct security management audits and physical site inspections to identify vulnerabilities and maintain strict facility protection standards .

Audit and inspect CCTV, physical security hardware, and access control systems to ensure continuous, optimal working condition .

Work closely with Security Detachment Commanders to monitor contracted guard forces and ensure vendor compliance across various company sites .

Review local peace and order situations at company sites and recommend preventive courses of action to eliminate risks to personnel and property .

Lead and participate in security-related incident investigations, conducting inquiries, gathering evidence, and analyzing root causes for cases involving theft, fraud, or policy violations .

Provide oversight and tracking for action items and corrective measures derived from security audits, inspections, and incident investigations .

To Succeed in this Role, we need someone who:

Vigilant & Detail-Oriented: Methodical when conducting physical audits, reviewing CCTV footage, and evaluating facility security vulnerabilities .

Analytical Investigator: Skilled at evidence gathering, interviewing, and systematic root-cause analysis to handle sensitive fraud or theft cases .

Strong Stakeholder Liaison: Capable of establishing immediate rapport and seamless coordination with external law enforcement, military, and emergency response teams .

Calm & Decisive in Crises: Able to maintain composure and execute crowd, traffic, and facility security controls during emergency or evacuation scenarios .

What You Will Need:

Education & Experience:

Education: Must be a College Degree Holder .

Professional Experience: At least five (5) years of related work experience in industrial security, law enforcement, or corporate security management .

Project Experience: Handled at least one (1) major project in a related field .

License & Certifications: License to Exercise Security Profession (LESP - Security Manager/Specialist) and Certified Security Professional (CSP) designation preferred .
