Job summary

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. is seeking a Safety Officer to implement and enforce our Occupational Safety and Health programs across field operations.

You will drive hazard controls, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with DOLE regulations in collaboration with contractors. Reporting to the safety leadership, you will lead incident investigations, perform JHAs, and champion a zero-harm culture through consistent training and field enforcement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• At least two years of work experience in Occupational Safety and Health.
• BOSH certification / DOLE Safety Officer accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safety audits & field operations: conduct OSH audits and site inspections, enforce hazard controls.
• Perform job hazard assessments (JHA) prior to project execution to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Ensure personnel and contractor conformance to safety standards and DOLE regulations.
• Lead incident investigations with root cause analysis and proper reporting.

As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible for executing and enforcing the company’s Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) programs, health initiatives, and field safety protocols .

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Safety Audits & Field Operations:

Conduct regular OSH audits, field site inspections, and lineworks patrolling to assess operational risks and enforce hazard controls .

Perform Job Hazard Assessments (JHA) prior to project execution to identify and eliminate safety hazards .

Ensure personnel and contractor conformance to company safety standards and DOLE regulations .

Participate in and lead incident investigations, ensuring proper root cause analysis and reporting compliance .

What You Will Need:

Education & Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s degree holder .

Professional Experience: At least two (2) years of work experience in Occupational Safety and Health .

Certifications: BOSH (Basic Occupational Safety and Health) certification / DOLE Safety Officer accreditation preferred .
