Job summary

AboitizPower Corporation is seeking a Safety Officer in Tagum City, Philippines. You will implement and enforce the company’s Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) programs, lead field safety protocols, and coordinate health initiatives within the Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. business unit.

The role focuses on conducting OSH audits, hazard assessments, and incident investigations, ensuring contractor compliance, and driving zero-harm safety culture across field operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years in Occupational Safety and Health.
• BOSH certification or DOLE Safety Officer accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular OSH audits, field site inspections, and lineworks patrolling to assess risks and enforce hazard controls.
• Perform Job Hazard Assessments (JHA) prior to project execution to identify and eliminate safety hazards.
• Ensure personnel and contractor conformance to safety standards and DOLE regulations.

As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible for executing and enforcing the company’s Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) programs, health initiatives, and field safety protocols.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Safety Audits & Field Operations:

• Conduct regular OSH audits, field site inspections, and lineworks patrolling to assess operational risks and enforce hazard controls.

• Perform Job Hazard Assessments (JHA) prior to project execution to identify and eliminate safety hazards.

• Ensure personnel and contractor conformance to company safety standards and DOLE regulations.

• Participate in and lead incident investigations, ensuring proper root cause analysis and reporting compliance.

What You Will Need:

Education & Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree holder.

• Professional Experience: At least two (2) years of work experience in Occupational Safety and Health.

• Certifications: BOSH (Basic Occupational Safety and Health) certification / DOLE Safety Officer accreditation preferred.
