Job summary

Google Operations Center in Trust & Safety - Safe Browsing seeks a Security Engineer Lead to protect users and scale enforcement across Google products such as Gmail, Chrome, Search and Ads. You will lead a team of analysts, coordinate with cross-functional groups, monitor SLAs, develop data analyses to identify phishing and malware, and communicate findings to webmasters, users and partners.

The role requires strong auditing, ownership of processes, and ability to translate complex security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field; 8+ years in security operations, web security analysis, or related analytical role.
• Proficient in SQL and Python for data analysis; knowledge of phishing, malware, or vulnerabilities; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• 2+ years of experience in people management and performance management

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of tech process analysts and specialists.
• Manage team workload and development opportunities.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams; monitor SLAs; discuss risk/issues with workflow management; develop playbooks and identify process improvements.
• Perform technical audits/reviews of code changes; develop data analyses to identify threats and system vulnerabilities; analyze phishing/malware trends.
