Job summary

HRTX is seeking a Security Data Loss Prevention Engineer to join the global security engineering team. You will manage DLP policies, monitor tooling, and drive continuous improvement across the firm’s data protection program.

You will collaborate with business owners and technical peers to align with standards, provide executive-level reporting on incidents, and help protect client data from loss or exposure while staying current with DLP best practices.

Qualifications

• Possess a Computer Science bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• Certifications such as Microsoft SC-400, AZ-500, MS-900, or CISSP preferred
• Experience with enterprise DLP Technologies; Proficiency in implementing and managing DLP solutions, including Microsoft Purview, M365, and Proofpoint technologies
• Skilled in DLP Policy Development and Management: Ability to develop, configure, and write DLP policies to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Familiar with End-User Behaviour Analytics (EUBA) and Insider Risk Management processes and tools
• Experience in analyzing and responding to DLP alerts and incidents, collaborating with the Incident Response team for incident remediation
• Data Classification and Protection: Knowledge of data classification methodologies and the associated compliance frameworks
• An understanding of security DLP best practices and frameworks, including GDPR, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations
• Technical Troubleshooting: Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve issues related to DLP endpoint and cloud technologies and ensure the smooth operation of DLP systems
• Able to stay updated with the latest advancements in DLP technologies and continuously improve and tune DLP policy
• Strong analytical skills to assess and interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to enhance data protection measures
• Able to maintain critical thinking and composure under pressure
• Strong written and oral English communication skills; Able to convey complex concepts to non-technical constituents

About the job Security Data Loss Prevention Engineer

You will be responsible for data loss prevention as part of the global security engineering team, monitoring the use and efficacy of current tooling and ensuring a continuous improvement program is in place. The role-holder will manage the capacity planning and tool maintenance and partner with technical peers to develop a Firmwide strategy. They will work with business owners to align with technical standards.
