Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a CCTV & Security Officer to support operation, maintenance, and management of CCTV systems across facilities. You will perform installations, troubleshooting, monitoring, and basic network tasks while supporting security risk assessments and incident response.

The role requires a 4-year technical degree with 2–3 years CCTV experience, NVRs and IP camera knowledge, and travel to sites as needed. Strong documentation and coordination skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Graduated with a 4-year course in Information Technology, Computer Technology, Electronics, or related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in CCTV installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and structured cabling.
• Certification or training in CCTV systems, IP cameras, structured cabling, NVR, or related tech is required.
• Working knowledge of Analog, Digital, and IP CCTV systems, NVRs, and monitoring platforms.
• Security-related training such as basic investigation or risk assessment is advantageous.
• Familiarity with security case management and incident monitoring is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, G Suite, and other relevant computer apps.
• Willing to travel to facilities for site visits and inspections.
• Able to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Good troubleshooting, documentation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Job Purpose

The CCTV & Security Officer will be responsible for supporting the effective operation, maintenance, and technical management of CCTV and related security systems across assigned company facilities. The role will also provide support in security monitoring, site inspections, risk assessments, and other security-related activities as directed by the line manager.

Key Responsibilities

CCTV & Technical Support

• Manage and monitor CCTV systems across assigned company facilities.
• Install, configure, maintain, relocate, and troubleshoot CCTV equipment based on site requirements.
• Perform CCTV-related cabling, termination, and basic network infrastructure works.
• Ensure proper organization, labeling, and maintenance of CCTV equipment and related infrastructure.
• Configure and maintain NVRs, CCTV monitoring platforms, and related systems.
• Retrieve, secure, and maintain CCTV footage for authorized business and security requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of CCTV equipment, installations, and available spare units.
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and technical inspections of CCTV systems.
• Identify system issues, perform basic troubleshooting, and coordinate necessary repairs or corrective actions.
• Prepare CCTV maintenance reports and document findings, recommendations, and completed actions.
• Support the continuous availability and proper functioning of CCTV systems in critical areas.

Security & Risk Support

• Monitor and coordinate updates on security-related cases and requests as assigned.
• Support the monitoring and documentation of security incidents and related activities.
• Conduct regular and random site inspections to identify potential security risks and areas for improvement.
• Assist in conducting security risk assessments, site surveys, and facility inspections.
• Support security audits and compliance checks as assigned.
• Assist in emergency preparedness and incident response planning.
• Coordinate with relevant internal teams and stakeholders on security-related concerns.
• Perform other CCTV, security, and administrative tasks as may be assigned by the Manager.

• Willing to travel to assigned company facilities for site visits, maintenance, and inspections.
• Able to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
