Job summary

Birla Carbon seeks a Section Head - Utility to oversee utility assets, planning and execution of maintenance activities, and ensure reliability and compliance across safety and sustainability standards.

The role focuses on budgeting, preventive maintenance programs, and SOP development to align with production targets and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Budget planning for utility & ETP equipment, piping, and associated packages within approved RM budget.
• Develops preventive maintenance and condition monitoring practices to improve reliability of mechanical equipment and piping.
• Ensures compliance with safety, quality, and sustainability systems in operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, plan and execute maintenance for utility assets to meet production targets.
• Establish SOPs for quality assurance in mechanical/piping work aligned with production needs.
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance per SAP PM modules and IMS/OpEx guidelines.
• Ensure SHE compliance and Dupont safety procedures in the process area.

Job Context:

Prepare, plan for job execution, ensures equipment and piping reliability through Preventive/Predictive Maintenance schedule. Also to meet customer dynamic requirement, sometimes changes in piping and equipment layout requires and that to on time for production of customer specific products department achieves same through proper planning of modifications and execution of projects

Job Description:

Budget:Prepare micro Plan & Implement, and Ensure Availability of all Utility & ETP equipment’s, packages & piping in Utility so as to achieve production target within approved R & M budget.

Establish the SOP of Quality assurance plan to achieve Qualities of Mechanical/Piping work As per production requirement:

Reliability:To develop and establish Preventive Maintenance as per SAP PM module, predictive maintenance system & condition-based monitoring system of mechanical equipments & piping to enhance the reliability of mechanical equipments

Systems & Sustainability:To ensure effective implementation of IMS (Integrated Management System, Operational Excellence (OpEx) and Sustainability Systems for achieving Business Excellence

Safety Health & Environment: SHE compliance Plan & implement Statutory & SHE compliance, Dupont safety system & procedure pertaining to process area for un-interrupted operation
