Job summary

Questronix Corporation in Manila is seeking a results-oriented Scrum Master with 3–5 years of software development or IT project management experience to guide teams through the Scrum framework. • 3–5 years of experience in software development or IT project management.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework.
• Ability to facilitate and lead Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-up, sprint planning, retrospectives).
• Good understanding of project management and cross-functional team leadership.
• Knowledge of SDLC and banking systems/regulations.
• Scrum certifications (e.g., PSM, CSM, PMI-ACP) are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills the duties of a Scrum Master, which covers:
• Enforce the rules of Scrum
• Helps the team to self-organize and work effectively within the Scrum framework
• Facilitates different events and makes it effective
• Helps keep a Development Team working at its highest level of productivity
• Protects the team from both internal and external distractions
• Holds the Scrum Team accountable to its working agreements, Scrum values, and to the Scrum framework itself
• Researches and analyzes improvement opportunities; Conducts analysis, prepares recommendations, and facilitates efficiency enhancements
• Facilitates refinement of business requirement documents and specifications in collaboration with System Analysts and Business Analysts
• Analyzes data and works with management to develop creative solutions; Assists in the review of readiness and break down of stories supporting an iterative and incremental delivery model
• Communicates and negotiates effectively with the business to clarify needs vs. wants/likes in order to balance business direction/requirements with cost of development as well as risks
• Supports a positive and collaborative digital delivery culture with a philosophy of continuous improvement, development, innovation and excellence, while remaining in compliance with the bank’s policies and procedures and upholding the highest standards of professional conduct.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software development or IT project management is required
• Educational Attainment/ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework
• Ability to facilitate and lead Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-up, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.)
• Good understanding of project management and experience in managing cross-functional teams
• Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Knowledge of project management tools (JIRA, Trello, etc.)
• Understanding of DevOps practices and tools
• Knowledge of banking systems and regulations
• Scrum certification (such as Professional Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Master, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner)
