St. Dominic Savio College is seeking a Science Teacher for Basic Education. You will plan and deliver science lessons, develop labs, and assess student learning while ensuring safety and ethical practices in the lab.

Instruction and Lesson Delivery
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons aligned with the prescribed basic education curriculum and school learning standards.
Develop appropriate lesson plans, instructional materials, activities, assessments, and learning resources.
Laboratory and Experiential Learning
Conduct laboratory activities, demonstrations, experiments, investigations, and other hands‑on learning experiences.
Ensure proper preparation, handling, storage, and use of laboratory equipment and materials.
Strictly observe laboratory safety procedures and maintain a safe learning environment.
Teach students appropriate laboratory practices, scientific ethics, and responsible use of materials.
Assessment and Student Learning
Develop and administer formative and summative assessments appropriate to the subject and grade level.
Monitor and document student performance, progress, participation, and learning outcomes.
Provide timely, constructive, and meaningful feedback to students.
Identify students who require additional academic support and implement appropriate intervention or enrichment activities.
Maintain accurate and updated academic records, grades, and other required documentation.
Classroom Management
Establish and maintain a positive, inclusive, respectful, and well‑managed classroom environment.
Implement classroom rules, routines, and behavioral expectations consistently.
Promote student discipline, responsibility, teamwork, curiosity, and respect for others.
Address classroom concerns appropriately and coordinate with parents, advisers, and school administrators when necessary.
Curriculum and Instructional Development
Participate in curriculum planning, review, enhancement, and alignment activities.
Develop and improve instructional resources, laboratory activities, projects, and learning materials.
Integrate appropriate technology, digital resources, and multimedia tools into Science instruction.
Participate in Science‑related programs, exhibits, fairs, competitions, research activities, and other school initiatives.
Student Development and Engagement
Encourage scientific thinking, critical thinking, problem‑solving, creativity, observation, and evidence‑based reasoning.
Encourage students to ask questions, formulate hypotheses, conduct investigations, and communicate scientific findings.
Support students' academic, social, and personal development within the teacher's role.
Serve as an appropriate role model in professionalism, integrity, responsibility, and respect.
Parent and Stakeholder Coordination
Communicate regularly and professionally with parents or guardians regarding student performance and concerns.
Participate in parent‑teacher conferences, consultations, and school meetings.
Coordinate with fellow teachers, department heads, coordinators, and other school personnel concerning student learning and development.
Professional and Institutional Responsibilities
Attend faculty meetings, training programs, professional development activities, school events, and other required institutional activities.
Comply with school policies, procedures, academic standards, and administrative requirements.
Maintain professional conduct and uphold the school's mission, vision, core values, and standards.
Perform other reasonable duties and responsibilities related to the position as may be assigned by the School Administration or immediate supervisor.
The Science Teacher is expected to:

Bachelor's degree in Science Education, Secondary Education major in Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, General Science, Environmental Science, or a closely related field.
Preferably holds or is eligible for the appropriate professional teaching license/qualification required by applicable regulations.
For higher‑grade Science assignments, a relevant specialization in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Science, or related discipline is preferred.
Preferably with at least 1–2 years of teaching experience in basic education.
Fresh graduates may be considered if they demonstrate strong subject knowledge, communication skills, classroom potential, and teaching aptitude.
Experience teaching in a private school, international school, or curriculum‑based educational institution is an advantage.
Strong command of fundamental Science concepts.
Ability to design and conduct age‑appropriate experiments and laboratory activities.
Strong lesson planning and classroom management skills.
Ability to develop assessments aligned with learning objectives.
Proficiency in using educational technology, presentation tools, learning management systems, and digital instructional resources.
