Job summary

Max's Group, Inc. is seeking a Finance Analyst to deliver regular commissary performance insights and consolidate budgets across catering, commissary, and head office functions in the Philippines.

The role supports the SBU Finance Business Partner with data gathering and financial modeling in Excel. You will prepare monthly SBU financial schedules, perform clustering analyses, and generate management reports to help hit financial targets and improve reporting standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy required.
• Minimum 2 years in accounting/finance with external and internal audit knowledge; fresh graduates welcome.
• Licenced CPA/CMA is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide regular commissary operational performance insights and analysis.
• Prepare monthly SBU financial schedules and analysis including commissary profile and performance analysis, commissary performance clustering, and data modeling using Excel.
• Prepare management reports and analysis.
• Collect data for SBU annual financial plan and assist in submissions and approvals.
• Support budgeting across catering, commissary, channel, distribution center, institutional revenue centre, and head office.
• Provide budgetary control to ensure achievement of financial targets.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable to align capex and opex with approved budgets.
• Provide analysis and insights to SBU projects and initiatives.
• Monitor store opening requirements with departments to ensure aligned timelines.
• Train SBU on current processes, systems, and reporting standards.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The position supports the SBU Finance Business Partner in gathering data and consolidation of budgets across catering business and other revenue channels, commissary, channel, distribution center, institutional revenue centre, and head office functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides SBU with regular commissary operational performance insights and analysis
• Prepares monthly SBU financial schedules and analysis including commissary profile and performance analysis, commissary performance clustering, and data modeling using Excel
• Prepares management reports and analysis
• Collects data in the preparation, submission, presentation and approval of SBU annual financial plan
• Supports the SBU Finance Business Partner in gathering data and consolidation of budgets across catering business, commissary, channel, distribution center, institutional revenue centre, and head office
• Provides budgetary control to ensure achievement of financial targets
• Works with Accounts Payable Team to ensure capital expenditure and operating expenses are based on approved budget
• Provides analysis and insights to SBU related projects and initiatives
• Monitors store opening requirements in coordination with different departments to ensure stores open based on approved timeline
• Trains SBU on current processes, systems and improvements, and conducts training on new SBU standard reporting and corporate policy implementation

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor of Science degree with major in Accountancy

Experience

Minimum 2 years' experience in accounting and finance function with external and internal audit knowledge and in-depth financial analysis (fresh graduates welcome to apply)

Training/License/Certification

Licensed CPA/CMA is an advantage

Technical Skills

• Working knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel
• In-depth knowledge of government statutory requirements and reports
• Updated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and International Accounting Standards
• Working knowledge of accounting systems
