Job summary

Max's Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled finance professional in Makati to consolidate and analyze multi-store financial results. You will review FSG and management reports, ensure accuracy against the trial balance, and prepare P&L by SBU/department with variance analyses.

The role requires 3+ years in accounting/finance, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams. You will support audits and ensure compliance with reporting standards and statutory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting and finance.
• Experience in financial reporting, consolidation, and analysis.
• Knowledge of audit processes.
• Proficient in MS Excel.
• Knowledge of government statutory reports.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• CPA/CFA/CMA certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results across stores and business units.
• Review and validate Financial Statement Generator (FSG) reports, management reports, and financial statements against the Trial Balance.
• Prepare SBU/Department P&L reports and analyze significant variances against budget and prior-year performance.
• Conduct monthly P&L and Balance Sheet analysis, including sales, gross margin, operating expenses, EBITDA, net profit, and key balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and submit corporate financial reports within prescribed deadlines.
• Identify unusual transactions, reporting anomalies, financial risks, and performance gaps, and provide recommendations to management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, financial reporting standards, and statutory requirements.
• Review account reconciliations and supporting schedules and coordinate corrective actions for identified issues.
• Coordinate internal and external audit requirements and support the resolution of audit findings.
