Strata Results Group is seeking a SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) ECC Functional Consultant to design, configure, and deliver SAP PM solutions within ECC. The role focuses on enabling efficient maintenance operations across asset-intensive industries by aligning business processes, system functionality, and data structures.

The consultant will lead cross-functional collaboration with MM, FICO, and PP teams to ensure integrated and sustainable outcomes, driving process optimization and governance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in SAP ECC Plant Maintenance (PM).
• Strong configuration experience across core PM functionalities.
• Proven experience in end-to-end SAP implementations or major enhancements.
• Solid understanding of integration points with MM, FICO, and PP.
• Deep understanding of maintenance operations in Manufacturing and Utilities.
• Ability to align business processes with SAP best practices.
• Experience in process mapping and optimisation.
• SAP ECC BASIS certification is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Lead the design and configuration of SAP PM modules within ECC, aligned to business requirements.
• Translate maintenance strategies (preventive, corrective, predictive) into system-enabled processes.
• Configure and support: Functional Locations, Equipment, Work Order Management, Notifications and breakdown maintenance, Task Lists and Maintenance Items.
• Ensure solutions are aligned to standard SAP capabilities, identifying gaps for enhancements.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand maintenance practices and pain points.
• Map and optimize maintenance processes across planning, execution, and cost tracking.
• Drive “process before platform” thinking for scalable operations.
• Work with MM, FICO, and PP teams for integration and testing.
• Lead testing phases (FUT, SIT, UAT) and prepare functional specs for enhancements.
• Support cutover planning, go-live activities, and post-go-live improvements.
• Develop and maintain process maps, BPMN, and training materials.
• Provide change support and structured communications on solution design.

The SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) ECC Functional Consultant is responsible for the end-to-end design, configuration, and delivery of SAP PM solutions within ECC environments. The role focuses on enabling efficient maintenance operations across asset-intensive industries by aligning business processes, system functionality, and data structures.

This is a delivery-focused role requiring strong functional expertise, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to translate operational maintenance requirements into scalable SAP solutions. The consultant will work closely with cross-functional teams (MM, FICO, Production Planning) to ensure integrated and sustainable outcomes.

Responsibilities

1. Solution Design & Functional Delivery

• Lead the design and configuration of SAP PM modules within ECC, aligned to business requirements.
• Translate maintenance strategies (preventive, corrective, predictive) into system-enabled processes.
• Configure and support:
  • Technical Objects (Functional Locations, Equipment)
  • Work Order Management
  • Notifications and breakdown maintenance processes
  • Task Lists and Maintenance Items
• Ensure solutions are aligned to standard SAP capabilities, with clear identification of gaps requiring enhancement.

2. Process Optimisation & Business Alignment

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand current maintenance practices and pain points.
• Map and optimise maintenance processes across:
  • Planning and scheduling
  • Execution and confirmation
  • Cost tracking and reporting
• Drive “process before platform” thinking—ensuring system design reflects efficient, scalable operations.

3. Integration & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with:
  • MM for spare parts, inventory, and procurement integration
  • FICO for maintenance cost tracking, settlement, and budgeting
  • PP where maintenance impacts production scheduling
• Support integration design and testing across modules and external systems.

4. Testing, Deployment & Support

• Lead and support:
  • Functional Unit Testing (FUT)
  • System Integration Testing (SIT)
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Prepare functional specifications for enhancements (e.g., ABAP developments where required).
• Support cutover planning and go-live activities.
• Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvement recommendations.

5. Documentation & Governance

• Develop and maintain:
  • Functional specifications
  • Process maps (BPMN or equivalent)
  • Training materials
• Ensure all deliverables align with project governance and quality standards.

6. Stakeholder Engagement & Change Support

• Work closely with business users, SMEs, and leadership teams.
• Training sessions
• Process walkthroughs
• Adoption support
• Provide clear, structured communication on solution design and impacts.
