Job summary

SRG in Makati, Philippines is seeking a seasoned SAP FICO ECC Functional Consultant to lead the design, configuration, and delivery of Finance and Controlling solutions within ECC environments.

You will collaborate with finance stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, compliant financial processes and real-time visibility, aligning business needs with SAP best practices throughout end-to-end implementations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on SAP FICO (ECC) experience.
• Strong FI and CO configuration experience.
• Experience in end-to-end SAP implementations or major enhancements.
• Understanding of financial processes and accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and configuration of SAP FICO modules within ECC.
• Ensure standard SAP functionality and identify enhancements.
• Drive Finance processes across P2P, O2C, and cost control.
• Collaborate with MM, SD, PM/PP for integration.
• Support testing: FUT, SIT, UAT.
• Prepare functional specs for ABAP developments.
• Maintain governance, compliance, and SoD controls.
• Provide post go-live support and continuous improvement.

What we are looking for:

The SAP FICO ECC Functional Consultant is responsible for the design, configuration, and delivery of Finance and Controlling solutions within SAP ECC environments. This role focuses on enabling accurate financial management, strong governance, and real-time visibility by aligning business processes with SAP best-practice functionality.

Operating within transformation and optimisation programs, the consultant will work closely with finance stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and efficient financial processes. The role requires both strong functional capability and the ability to engage the business to drive meaningful outcomes—not just system configuration.

Responsibilities:

1. Solution Design & Functional Delivery

Lead the design and configuration of SAP FICO modules within ECC, aligned to business requirements.

Configure and support:

Bank Accounting and Cash Management

Controlling (CO):

Product Costing (where applicable)

Ensure solutions leverage standard SAP functionality wherever possible, clearly identifying any required enhancements.

2. Process Optimisation & Business Alignment

Engage with finance stakeholders to understand:

Current financial processes and pain points

Reporting and compliance requirements

Design and optimise processes across:

Procure-to-Pay (P2P)

Order-to-Cash (O2C)

Drive structured process improvements to enhance efficiency, control, and visibility.

3. Integration & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with:

MM for procurement and invoice verification

SD for billing, revenue recognition, and AR integration

PM/PP for cost tracking and settlement

Ensure accurate financial postings across all integrated business processes.

Support integration design with external systems and interfaces.

Regulatory and statutory compliance

Management reporting and analytics

Support development and validation of:

Work with reporting tools (e.g. SAP reports, external BI tools where applicable).

5. Testing, Deployment & Support

Lead and support:

Functional Unit Testing (FUT)

System Integration Testing (SIT)

User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Prepare functional specifications for enhancements (e.g. ABAP developments).

Support cutover activities, including financial data readiness and balances validation.

Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvement initiatives.

6. Governance, Compliance & Controls

Ensure solutions align with:

Financial governance frameworks

Audit and compliance requirements

Support implementation of:

Internal controls

Segregation of Duties (SoD)

Maintain audit-ready documentation and processes.

7. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

Develop and maintain:

Functional specifications

Process maps

Training materials

Support end-user training and adoption activities.

8. Stakeholder Engagement

Act as a trusted advisor to finance stakeholders.

Translate business requirements into clear functional solutions.

Communicate effectively across business and technical teams.

Qualification and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP FICO (ECC).

Strong configuration experience across FI and CO modules.

Proven experience in end-to-end SAP implementations or major enhancements.

Deep understanding of financial processes and accounting principles.

Deep understanding of Finance operations in industries such as:

Ability to align business processes with SAP best practices.

Experience in process mapping and optimisation.
