About the role

We're looking for an SAP ERP FICO Specialist to be a key functional driver of our client's Finance and ERP transformation. This role suits a hands-on SAP Finance/FICO professional with real implementation experience and solid Finance and Controlling process knowledge — someone who thrives operating with a high degree of autonomy rather than relying on a large team structure around them. While the organization currently runs on SAP Business One, this role is built for its future direction toward a centralized SAP S/4HANA environment. You'll work closely with Finance stakeholders, IT leadership, operational teams, and third-party implementation partners — translating business needs into effective ERP solutions, and doing the work of presenting recommendations, securing buy-in, and influencing decisions along the way. This is initially a hands-on, individual-contributor role: you'll own your workstreams end-to-end, navigate ambiguity and evolving priorities with minimal oversight, and be comfortable being the person who gets things moving rather than waiting for direction.

Key responsibilities

• Partner directly with Finance and business stakeholders to understand processes, requirements, and improvement opportunities — and confidently present your findings and recommendations back to them.
• Serve as the key functional resource for Finance and Controlling within the SAP/ERP environment.
• Gather and translate business requirements into functional ERP solutions.
• Drive business process analysis, solution design, testing, UAT, and implementation — largely under your own direction.
• Work closely with third-party SAP implementation partners and vendors throughout delivery.
• Support the organization's transition toward SAP S/4HANA.
• Coordinate Finance requirements with Supply Chain, Warehousing, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Maintenance/Preventive Maintenance functions.
• Own system enhancements, process improvements, and continuous optimization end-to-end.
• Lead functional troubleshooting and issue resolution, coordinating with technical teams and external partners as needed.
• Document business processes, functional requirements, test cases, and implementation activities.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Management Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant SAP/ERP functional consulting, implementation, support, or application management experience.
• Strong functional knowledge of Finance and Controlling processes within an SAP or ERP environment.
• Proven experience participating in — and ideally driving — ERP/SAP implementation projects.
• Experience with requirements gathering, business process analysis, functional solution design, configuration support, testing/UAT, and go-live support.
• A track record of working closely with stakeholders and third-party implementation partners, including presenting to and influencing decision-makers.
• Strong understanding of how Finance interacts with operational functions.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and navigate challenges in a fast-moving, evolving environment with limited hand-holding.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willing and able to work 100% on-site in Makati City.
