Job summary

BSA Solutions Inc. in Cebu City is seeking an SAP BW Business Intelligence Developer to support the SAP BW 7.3 landscape. The role partners with the BI and SAP teams to analyze requirements and optimize the data model for performance.

This on-site, full-time position requires 3–5 years of SAP BW experience, ABAP knowledge, and strong analytical skills. You will work under the Director of Application Development and contribute to a scalable, global reporting environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of SAP BW experience with at least 2 years on BW 7.X.
• Undergraduate degree in CS or business admin (or equivalent).
• BW integration with SAP modules (FI/SD/HR, etc.).
• Strong BW data modeling (BW Administrator Workbench).
• Strong BW administration and process chain scheduling experience.
• ETL experience from SAP and non-SAP sources.
• ABAP including ABAP Objects and APIs.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis, design, implementation, and support of complex data extraction, transformation and load processes from SAP and non-SAP data sources to support reporting needs.
• Configuration and ABAP development in the SAP BW environment, including testing, implementation, performance tuning, problem solving, and debugging.
• Turn business reporting requirements into technical requirements for a scalable BW data model.
• Collaborate to ensure a seamless reporting solution across systems and platforms.
• Provide daily monitoring and support for BW extracts, loads, and transformations; data quality monitoring.
• Develop queries, reports, and BI outputs as required.
• Provide go-live and post go-live support for BW projects.
• Assist with data conversion tasks related to loading master data into SAP.

JOB SUMMARY:

The SAP BW Developer with SAP Business Warehouse/SAP Datasphere experience is responsible for supporting the SAP BW 7.3 landscape. The position reports directly to the Director of Application Development. The successful candidate will work with other members of the Business Intelligence team, SAP team, IT staff, and functional leaders to analyze requirements for changes or additions to the SAP BW data model and architecture. This position will also proactively analyze the existing data model and architecture to maximize performance of the BW system.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Perform analysis, design, implementation, and support of complex data extraction, transformation and load processes from SAP and non-SAP data sources to support reporting needs

• Configuration and ABAP development in the SAP BW environment, including testing, implementation, performance tuning, problem solving, and debugging

• Work with the Front-end BW Analyst, SAP BPOs, and SAP Analysts to turn business reporting requirements into technical requirements for a scalable and sustainable BW data model

• Collaborate across the organization to ensure a seamless reporting solution that allows integration across all business applications, systems, platforms and infrastructure in the global computing environment

• Provide daily monitoring and support for the BW extracts, loads, and transformations; including data quality monitoring and assurance

• Develop queries, reports, and other BI output as required

• Provide go-live and post go-live support for BW projects and maintenance work

• Assist with data conversion tasks related to loading master data into the SAP system from legacy system(s).

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in SAP BW, including minimum 2 years in version 7.X

• Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration (or equivalent)

• BW Integration experience with one or more SAP modules, such as FI, SD, HR, etc.

• Strong experience in BW data modeling (BW Administrator Workbench). Solid understanding of EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse) and Data Mart methodologies

• Strong experience in BW administration, process chain scheduling, etc.

• Strong experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) from SAP and non-SAP source systems

• Experience writing complex transformations

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving and performance tuning skills

• Experience in ABAP including ABAP Objects and API's

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrated team player and ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical individuals

Additional desirable qualifications/skills include:

• Experience using Business Objects reporting tools - Crystal Reports, Web Intelligence, and Xcelsius

• Experience in developing reports using BEx toolset - BEx Query Designer and Web Application Designer

• Experience in NetWeaver portal integration

• NetWeaver BW certification

• Experience in LIS based extractors

• Knowledge of SAP Data Services
