10.28 Business Consultancy - SAP Business One is seeking an experienced Technical Consultant to design, customize, and deploy Crystal Reports for SAP B1. You will optimize SQL queries and work across finance, sales, purchasing, and production modules to deliver reporting solutions.

The role involves hybrid work and collaboration with clients to gather requirements, perform UAT, and provide end-user training, ensuring high-quality reporting across SAP B1 implementations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Engineering/Accounting or related field.
• 2–3 years hands-on SAP B1 implementation and support, with Crystal Reports focus.
• Proficient in SAP Crystal Reports (2013/2016/2020 or later) including formulas and subreports.
• Strong SQL skills (T-SQL for SQL Server and SAP HANA SQL).
• Familiar with SAP B1 database schema and print layout designer.
• Experience deploying reports across SAP B1 landscapes and good communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Brief Description of the Role

As a Technical Consultant you are responsible for designing, developing, customizing, and deploying Crystal Reports layouts and reports for SAP Business One (B1). This role involves working with sales, purchasing, financial, inventory, and production documents, optimizing SQL queries, and providing comprehensive reporting solutions across SAP B1 implementations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Modify existing Crystal Reports layouts to meet client-specific business and formatting requirements
• Map and configure reports to SAP B1 print layout designer and assign them as default templates per document type, series, or user
• Write and optimize SQL queries, views, and stored procedures against the SAP B1 database (SQL Server/HANA) to support report data requirements
• Deploy, test, and troubleshoot Crystal Reports across development, test, and production environments
• Integrate Crystal Reports with SAP B1 add-ons and third-party tools where required
• Perform UAT support, resolve report-related bugs, and fine-tune report performance
• Maintain version control and documentation of report changes, templates, and layout mappings
• Coordinate with functional consultants to gather reporting requirements from clients across various modules (Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Production)
• Provide end-user training and support on printing, previewing, and using deployed reports

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting, or related field
• At least 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in SAP Business One implementation and support, with a strong focus on Crystal Reports
• Proficient in SAP Crystal Reports (2013/2016/2020 or later) — report design, formulas, subreports, cross‑tabs, running totals, and parameter fields
• Strong SQL skills (T‑SQL for SQL Server and/or SAP HANA SQL) — able to write and optimize complex queries, joins, and views
• Working knowledge of the SAP B1 database schema and familiarity with business process flow
• Familiarity with SAP B1 Print Layout Designer and report/layout assignment
• Experience deploying reports across SAP B1 landscapes (SQL Server and/or HANA versions)
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients to gather and clarify requirements
• Ability to manage multiple projects/tickets and meet deadlines
