Job summary

BSA Solutions Outsourcing Inc. is seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to manage and support the SAP environment in Cebu City. The role involves routine maintenance, upgrades, migrations, and collaboration with a cross-functional team of analysts and external partners to ensure stable SAP operations.

Ideal candidates will have SAP Basis experience, SAP Solution Manager exposure, and strong Windows administration skills. The position is onsite with night shift hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical area such as MIS, Computer Science, etc.
• Technical IT background with SAP knowledge or experience a plus.
• 1–3 years in a technical IT Operations role is a plus.
• Prior SAP Basis and SAP Solution Manager experience is a plus.
• Proficient with Windows-based software and SAP environment administration.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Woodgrain’s SAP environment including maintenance, upgrades, and migrations.
• Collaborate with Analysts, Developers, and external partners to ensure SAP operations.
• Manage SAP system copies, backups, and system refreshes.
• Configure and maintain SAP Transport System and SSO/IDM integrations.
• Monitor SAP performance, perform tuning, and handle incident resolution.

IV. JOB SUMMARY

• The primary responsibility of this technical IT position is to provide administration and support for Woodgrain’s SAP environment. The Basis Administrator is responsible for routine maintenance, operation, upgrades, and plays a role in planning and executing migrations and other major SAP projects. This position will be key to further exploitation, stability, and scalability of Woodgrain’s SAP environment.
• This position will work with a team of Analysts, Developers, and external partners to ensure the proper operation of the SAP environment. The ability to effectively collaborate with other team members is essential in this role.

V. WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Provides solutions to complex business problems for area(s) of responsibility where analysis of situations requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
• Involved in setting strategic direction to establish near term goals for area of responsibility.

Responsible for the following Activities

• SAP systems implementation, optimization, migration from on-premises to cloud and maintenance.
• SAP (Installing SAP, System Refresh, System restore, Load Balance).
• SAP system Copies.
• SAP Technical Administration (Update/Upgrade Kernel, licenses Administration, Configured RFC connection).
• Configured & Maintenance Transport System.
• Hardware Sizing for SAP Lanscape.
• Migrating SAP system into SAP Cloud (Public/Private).
• Archiving technical configuration.
• Design and Implementing SAP Single Sign on (SSO 3.0) and Configured the Single Sign On (SSO) in Differents scenarios.
• Implement & configure Identity Management (IDM).
• SAP GRC Access Control.

Database Administration

• Hana Administration, Sizing & monitoring.
• DB Administration (Alter DB parameters, recover, database copies & password Changes, Archive on/off).
• DB Monitoring.
• Reorganize Table Spaces, Tables and indexes.

Monitoring, Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Monitoring SAP (Alert monitor/checking, analyzing system alerts, causes and solution, Monitoring Performance, Workload analysis (Manage Memory Usage and other for Maximum uptime and performance)).
• Troubleshooting SAP (ABAP dump analysis, performance Tuning).
• Solution Manager 7.2 (Initial Configuration, Update, Upgrade, Debug, configure Dashboard and Monitoring, Configure Solution Manager Diagnostics (end to end), Setup Solution Manager Monitoring, EWA report /Pathfinder Report, Licences Analysis).
• SAP Technical Administration like Job Management (Create Jobs, monitor daily jobs /periodical Jobs, Scheduled Jobs), Printer & spool, Operation Modes, Manage Batch Processes, disk space utilization, table size.
• Applied patches and plug-ins using SPAM and SAINT.
• BTP.

VI. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical area such as MIS, Computer Science, etc.
• Technical minded with general IT background
• 1-3 years working in a technical IT Operations role a plus
• SAP knowledge and experience a plus
• Prior SAP Basis experience a plus
• Prior SAP Solution Manager experience a plus
• Proficient with Windows based software programs
• General administration of the SAP environment
• Act as lead Basis person for the SAP environment
• Coordinate closely with IT Operations and our external partners to tune SAP for our on-premise hardware approach
• Work to ensure up to date and smooth-running SAP environment
• Recommend, lead, and own the SAP upgrade projects
• Responsible for SAP performance monitoring, tuning and systems configurations, researching and implementing solutions, service packs and upgrades
• Lead teams through problem resolution and root cause analysis
• Ability to set and meet deadlines
• Coordinate Basis work with outside contractors or internal resources
