- Investigate and resolve production issues related to ABAP programs, batch jobs, interfaces, and system performance.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor and maintain system health, proactively identifying risks before they evolve into outages.
- Support system migrations and environment transitions, including Linux to Unix platform changes, Oracle to SQL Server database migrations, and collaboration with Basis and infrastructure teams during environment changes, patches, and upgrades.

- Develop, enhance, and maintain ABAP objects across the full RICEF spectrum.
- Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented ABAP code following best practices and coding standards.
- Perform code reviews and ensure compliance with SAP development guidelines.
- Debug complex ABAP programs using SAP Debugger, including breakpoints, watchpoints, and runtime analysis.

- Handle end‑to‑end IDoc troubleshooting – inbound and outbound processing.
- Diagnose and resolve IDoc errors in WE02, WE05, BD87, and related transactions.
- Manage partner profiles, message types, process codes, and port configurations.
- Support EDI/ALE interface issues and coordinate with middleware/integration teams where applicable.
- Develop and maintain custom IDoc extensions and processing function modules.
Database & Platform Support
- Work across Oracle and SQL Server database environments to support ABAP programs with native SQL, Open SQL, and database‑specific tuning.
- Assist in identifying and resolving database‑level performance issues impacting ABAP programs.
- Support technical activities during database platform transitions (Oracle → SQL Server).
- Collaborate with DBAs on query optimization, table buffering, and index analysis.
OS‑Level Collaboration (Linux/Unix)
- Coordinate with infrastructure teams on Linux and Unix environments for job scheduling, file transfers, and system‑level troubleshooting.
- Understand shell scripting basics to support file‑based interface debugging.
- Assist in resolving OS‑level issues that impact SAP batch jobs and background processing.
Support Operations

- Adhere to SLA commitments for incident, problem, and change management.
- Participate in on‑call rotations and provide support during critical business periods.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including functional specs, technical specs, and runbooks.
- Communicate clearly and proactively with business stakeholders and functional teams on issue status and resolution timelines.
Job Requirements
