Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development across full lifecycle implementations.
• Strong knowledge of OO ABAP, CDS Views, AMDP, BAdIs, Enhancements, and Forms.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and deploy ABAP solutions across RICEFW objects.
• Develop ABAP RAP-based extensions in SAP S/4HANA and create CDS Views.
• Build integration points using OData services, Web APIs, RFCs, and IDocs.
• Perform performance tuning, code optimization, and code reviews for stability.
• Troubleshoot defects and support upgrades/migrations.
• Collaborate with functional streams to author TDDs and unit test plans.

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled, forward-thinking SAP ABAP Developer to design, build, and optimize custom solutions within our SAP landscape. In this role, you will play a central part in expanding our core architecture, working closely with functional consultants and enterprise architects to turn business requirements into clean, scalable code. Whether developing legacy enhancements or building modern S/4HANA extensions, you will ensure our systems remain performant, secure, and ready for future growth.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, code, test, and deploy ABAP solutions across RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows) objects.

• Develop modern custom extensions in SAP S/4HANA using ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), ABAP Programming Model for SAP Fiori, and CDS Views.

• Build and maintain robust integration points using OData services, Web APIs, RFCs, and IDocs to connect SAP with third-party platforms.

• Perform performance tuning, code optimization, and code reviews to maintain high technical standards and system stability.

• Troubleshoot complex technical defects, debug production issues, and execute system remediation for upgrades and migrations.

• Collaborate with functional streams to author technical design documents (TDDs) and unit test plans.
  

What You'll Need

• Experience: 4+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience across full lifecycle project implementations.

• Core Technical Skills: Mastery of Object-Oriented ABAP (OO ABAP), CDS Views, AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures), BAdIs, Enhancements, and SmartForms/Adobe Forms.

• S/4HANA & HANA Tech: Solid working knowledge of SAP HANA database development principles, SQLScript, and OData service creation/consumption (SEGW / RAP).

• Problem-Solving & Performance: Strong debugging capabilities alongside experience using ABAP Runtime Analysis (SAT), SQL Trace (ST05), and Code Inspector (ATC).

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.

What Will Set You Apart

• Active SAP Certified Development Associate certification (ABAP with SAP NetWeaver or SAP S/4HANA).

• Hands-on experience developing front-end applications with SAPUI5 / SAP Fiori.

• Familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), modern CI/CD pipelines, or git-enabled ABAP (abapGit).

• Background in S/4HANA migration projects (converting classic ABAP code to S/4HANA-compliant standards).
