This full-time role requires developing innovative engineering solutions while ensuring regulatory compliance and public health protection. You will conduct site assessments, prepare detailed drawings using CAD tools, and oversee construction through commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in sanitary/civil/environmental engineering.
• PE licence or eligibility to obtain one in the Philippines.
• 2–3 years of professional experience in sanitary engineering or wastewater design.
• Proficient CAD (AutoCAD/Civil 3D) and hydraulic modelling tools.

About the role

TECHBROKERS WASTE WATER SOLUTIONS INC. is seeking a talented and dedicated Sanitary Engineer to join our team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in designing, implementing, and managing wastewater treatment systems and sanitation infrastructure. As a Sanitary Engineer, you will be responsible for developing innovative solutions to complex environmental challenges whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and contributing to sustainable development objectives. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on public health and environmental protection within the region.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop wastewater treatment systems, sanitation facilities, and water supply infrastructure that meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Conduct comprehensive site assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate environmental conditions and determine optimal engineering solutions
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation using CAD software and other engineering tools
• Perform hydraulic and environmental modelling to assess system performance and predict treatment outcomes
• Oversee construction and installation of wastewater treatment plants and sanitary infrastructure projects from planning through commissioning
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing treatment systems and recommend improvements or upgrades
• Conduct environmental impact assessments and ensure compliance with local, national, and international environmental regulations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, environmental consultants, and project managers to deliver comprehensive solutions
• Provide technical support and guidance to operations and maintenance staff
• Participate in site inspections and quality assurance activities to ensure projects meet established standards

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Sanitary Engineering, Civil Engineering (with specialisation in water and wastewater), Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
• Professional Engineer (PE) licence or equivalent qualification recognised in the Philippines, or eligibility to obtain one
• Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in sanitary engineering, wastewater treatment design, or water resources management
• Proficiency in engineering design software, including CAD applications (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and hydraulic modelling tools (EPANET, SWMM, or similar)
• Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, including conventional and advanced treatment technologies
• Understanding of relevant Philippine environmental codes, building codes, and regulations governing water and sanitation systems
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in technical design and documentation
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical information to diverse stakeholders
• Project management experience and proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of sustainable engineering practices and green infrastructure solutions is highly desirable
• Experience with water quality monitoring and laboratory testing procedures is advantageous
