Job description

Salesforce Lead Developer – Leadership Experience
The Mission

We’re looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer with leadership experience who lives and breathes the Salesforce platform—someone who treats Apex as an art form, sees LWC as a playground, and approaches every technical challenge with an architect’s mindset.

This role is for a high-aptitude problem solver who can go beyond simply delivering tickets. You’ll be trusted to understand the bigger picture, make sound technical decisions, mentor others, and build scalable Salesforce solutions that stand up to complex business requirements and high data volumes.

If you feel held back by standard development roles and want the autonomy to solve meaningful, technically challenging problems, this could be your seat at the table.

What You’ll Do
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, SOQL, and Salesforce platform capabilities.

  • Take ownership of complex technical problems from discovery through implementation and optimization.

  • Develop robust, maintainable, and bulkified Apex code using established design patterns and trigger frameworks.

  • Build performant and intuitive Lightning Web Components that deliver excellent user experiences.

  • Design and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST and SOAP APIs.

  • Implement appropriate authentication, error handling, logging, and integration patterns.

  • Analyze system-wide and downstream impacts before implementing changes.

  • Evaluate when a solution should use Flow, Apex, configuration, or a combination of approaches.

  • Identify technical risks, scalability concerns, and potential impacts to overall org health.

  • Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to Salesforce architecture decisions.

  • Troubleshoot complex production issues and identify root causes rather than applying temporary fixes.

  • Optimize solutions for performance, maintainability, security, and scalability.

  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to other Salesforce developers.

  • Conduct code reviews and help establish development standards and best practices.

  • Work closely with stakeholders, architects, and other technical teams to translate business requirements into effective Salesforce solutions.

What We’re Looking For
Systemic Thinking

You don’t just fix a bug—you understand its potential impact across the entire Salesforce org.

You think about dependencies, data flows, automation, integrations, performance, security, and long-term maintainability before making technical decisions.

Apex Mastery

You have strong hands‑on experience with:

  • Apex development

  • Trigger frameworks

  • Design patterns

  • Asynchronous Apex

  • Batch, Queueable, and Scheduled Apex

  • Governor limits and bulkification

  • SOQL and SOSL optimization

  • Error handling and exception management

  • Test‑driven and scalable development practices

You write bulkified, maintainable code by instinct.

LWC Fluency

You can build modern, performant Salesforce interfaces using Lightning Web Components and understand how to create reusable components that provide a strong user experience.

Integration Expertise

You have experience integrating Salesforce with external applications and platforms using:

  • REST APIs

  • SOAP APIs

  • Web services

  • Authentication mechanisms

  • Integration patterns

  • Error handling and monitoring

  • Data synchronization

You understand that a successful integration is about more than simply making two systems communicate.

The Architect Brain

You know when to use Flow, when to write Apex, and when to challenge a proposed solution because it could negatively affect the long‑term health of the Salesforce org.

You’re comfortable explaining technical trade‑offs to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Leadership Experience

You have experience leading developers, technical initiatives, or Salesforce projects.

You’re able to:

  • Mentor and coach developers

  • Review code and provide constructive technical feedback

  • Establish and enforce development standards

  • Break down complex technical problems

  • Make sound technical decisions independently

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders

  • Take ownership of technical outcomes

  • Lead by example without relying on formal authority

What’s In It For You?
CTA Track

You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with and be mentored by a Certified Technical Architect (CTA).

If your goal is to reach the top tier of the Salesforce ecosystem and eventually pursue the CTA path, you’ll have exposure to the technical thinking, architecture principles, and complex challenges that can help accelerate that journey.

Elite Autonomy

We believe senior engineers should be trusted to do their jobs.

You won’t be micromanaged. You’ll be given high-level problems, the context you need, and the autonomy to determine the best technical solution.

Radical Growth

You’ll work on complex Salesforce environments and high-data-volume projects that will challenge your existing knowledge and push you to continuously improve.

You’ll encounter problems that require more than knowing the Salesforce documentation—you’ll need to think critically, understand architecture, and make decisions that scale.

Technical Environment

The role may involve working across:

Salesforce: Apex, LWC, Flow, SOQL/SOSL, Platform Events, asynchronous processing
Development: Salesforce DX, Git, CI/CD, automated testing, code review
Integrations: REST, SOAP, APIs, authentication, external systems
Architecture: Design patterns, scalability, governor limits, data modeling, enterprise integration

The Ideal Candidate

You’re not simply a Salesforce developer who can complete assigned tickets.

You’re someone who:

  • Thinks like an engineer and an architect.

  • Takes ownership of problems rather than waiting for instructions.

  • Understands the broader impact of technical decisions.

  • Can challenge requirements when they put the platform at risk.

  • Enjoys solving difficult and ambiguous problems.

  • Has strong development fundamentals and Salesforce expertise.

  • Can lead, mentor, and influence other developers.

  • Values clean, scalable, maintainable solutions.

  • Wants to continuously push their technical limits.

If you’re looking for a role where you can build, lead, architect, and grow toward the highest levels of Salesforce expertise, we’d like to hear from you.
