Job summary

Appficiency seeks a Senior Salesforce Technical Architect to lead design, strategy, and governance of enterprise Salesforce deployments. You will mentor teams, oversee integrations, and act as a trusted advisor to clients, shaping technical solutions and ensuring high-performance, scalable delivery.

You will partner with stakeholders, translate complex requirements into robust architectures, and support pre-sales with technical scoping and proposals, driving client success.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce development and architecture experience.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce platform: Apex, LWC, Flows, SOQL/SOSL.
• Solid understanding of Salesforce data modelling, security model, and governor limits.

A Senior Salesforce Technical Architect leads the design, strategy, and governance of complex, enterprise-wide Salesforce implementations. They act as trusted advisors to clients, defining technical solutions, managing integration architecture, ensuring high-performance standards, and mentoring teams.

The Commitment

Technical Leadership & Solution Design

• Own technical discovery, solution design, and documentation for client engagements-
• Conduct technical reviews, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with Salesforce best practices-
• Design and oversee integrations between Salesforce and third-party systems (APIs, middleware, ETL)

Client-Facing Delivery

• Act as the senior technical point of contact for key client accounts
• Lead technical workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder presentations
• Translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions
• Support pre-sales activities with technical scoping, estimation, and proposal input
• Build trusted relationships with client technical teams and leadership

Team Management & Development

• Line manage a team of 3-4 technical consultants and developers
• Conduct regular 1-2-1s, performance reviews, and career development planning
• Mentor and coach team members, supporting their technical growth and certifications
• Allocate and manage team workload across projects
• Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture
• Support recruitment and onboarding of new technical team members

The Essentials

• 8 years of hands-on Salesforce development and architecture experience- Strong knowledge of Salesforce platform: Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, SOQL/SOSL- Solid understanding of Salesforce data modelling, security model, and governor limits- Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
• Previous experience managing or leading a small technical team
• Experience with integration patterns (REST/SOAP APIs, platform events, middleware)
• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale Salesforce solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer II, Application Architect, System Architect)- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies- Exposure to other platforms (e.g., NetSuite, MuleSoft) is a plus
• - Experience working in a consultancy or professional services environment
• - Experience with Salesforce CPQ, Vlocity/Industries, or Marketing Cloud
• - Experience with DevOps tooling (Gearset, Copado, or similar)
