Job summary

Aprio, a Top 20 CPA and advisory firm, is seeking an Associate, Sales Tax Compliance for its Specialty Tax team in the Philippines. The role covers preparing tax workpapers, filing state and local sales tax returns, and researching indirect tax issues.

The candidate should be able to work the night shift at Clark or Makati and collaborate with remote teams. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accountancy with 1–2 years in tax or accounting, strong communication skills, and proficiency in MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in tax or accounting.
• Willing to work night shift 8 PM–5 AM PHT at Clark or Makati.
• Excellent communication and ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Data-conscious and able to validate data and identify anomalies.
• Strong sense of ownership and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare workpapers and file state and local sales tax returns
• Conduct research on indirect tax matters, including nexus and state filing requirements
• Respond to notices received and participate in sales tax reviews
• Perform other duties as assigned
