Job summary

Nexus Recruitment Group in Taguig, Metro Manila, is seeking a Tax Accountant to support multi-state sales and use tax compliance in an on-site night shift role.

You will ensure accurate tax reporting, perform tax research, and assist audits, working with tax accounts, and coordinating with auditors.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting, at least 2 years in multi-state tax, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 2 years experience working with multi-state sales and use tax.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with Oracle and Vertex is an advantage.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong accuracy in work.
• Capable of conducting tax technical research independently.
• Self-motivated with the ability to meet tight deadlines under minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• High integrity and sound judgment with a strong work ethic.
• Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate compliance with multi-state sales and use tax regulations.
• Perform general ledger reconciliations related to tax accounts.
• Analyze product taxability and ensure correct tax treatment.
• Communicate with internal and external auditors regarding sales, use, and rental tax matters.
• Prepare and submit monthly tax reports for state and local tax authorities.
• Manage and execute special projects and reports as assigned.
