Job Summary:
The Trading Sales Specialist is responsible for generating sales and managing business relationships with wholesalers, distributors, and key accounts in the frozen meat industry. This role involves developing sales strategies, negotiating deals, monitoring market trends, and ensuring timely coordination with operations to meet client requirements for pork, chicken, and beef products.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and acquire new wholesalers, distributors, and bulk buyers for frozen pork, chicken, and beef.
- Maintain and grow the sales volume of existing clients through regular follow-ups and effective account management.
- Conduct product presentations, pricing discussions, and negotiations to close sales deals.
- Prepare and submit sales proposals, quotations, and contract terms aligned with company policies.
Market Monitoring & Pricing
- Monitor market prices, demand trends, and competitor activities to recommend competitive pricing strategies.
- Analyze sales reports and market data to identify opportunities for growth.
- Coordinate with management for timely price updates and product availability.
Client Relationship Management
- Build strong client relationships by providing consistent service and support.
- Address client inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure accurate communication of clients’ product specifications, delivery schedules, and order requirements.
Operations Coordination
- Work closely with the logistics, warehouse, and production teams to ensure accuracy and on-time dispatch of orders.
- Validate product availability and inventory levels to avoid shortages or delays.
- Monitor deliveries and resolve any issues with documentation, weights, or product quality.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate sales records, contracts, client profiles, and transaction documents.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, trading guidelines, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Agribusiness, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience in meat trading is an advantage.
- 1-3 years proven experience in trading.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of frozen meat handling, product grades, and industry standards is a plus.
- Ability to analyze market trends and develop sales strategies.
- Willingness to travel and visit clients/markets as needed.
