Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Finance Accounting Manager to lead the finance function supporting the Domestic Sales team, partnering closely with commercial and field sales to drive financial performance and profitable growth.

The role oversees budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and management reporting, acting as a strategic partner to Sales and providing insights that improve profitability and strengthen financial discipline across the organization.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance with professional certification preferred (CPA).
7–10 years of experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, or related functions.
Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and management reporting skills.
Experience partnering with Sales/Commercial teams as a business partner.
Proven leadership ability and experience coaching teams.
Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Proficiency with financial systems, reporting tools and Excel.
Experience in FMCG/consumer goods, retail or related fast-moving environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead the Corporate Selling Expense Budget management and allocation.
Direct budgeting and forecasting for the Domestic Sales organization.
Partner with Sales leaders to identify profitability improvements and cost management.
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions.
Prepare and review management and performance reports with budget variance analyses.
Monitor trade investments, selling expenses and accounts receivable to improve working capital.
Collaborate with field teams to reduce non-value-adding activities and strengthen controls.
Act as a key finance business partner to Sales on financial implications of initiatives.
Lead cross-functional discussions to resolve issues and implement solutions promptly.
Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, systems and ways of working.
Lead and develop the Sales Finance team through coaching and growth opportunities.
Drive organizational improvements strengthening the finance function.
