Job summary

Manulife Insurance Malaysia is seeking a skilled Operations professional to support trade lifecycle and cash management activities. You will handle reconciliations, corporate actions, and related communications, while actively managing risks to prevent losses.

The role requires collaboration with Advisors, Call Centre teams, and technology partners to enhance data and processes. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in a related field, with 4+ years in investment/securities or BPO/shared

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field.
• LOMA, Canadian Securities Certification or CFSI preferred.
• LEAN and Six Sigma (Scrum Master), Yellow Belt training/certified.
• 4+ years in Investment/Wealth, Securities or similar industry is preferred.
• BPO/Shared Service experience is a plus due to multi-national collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day operations for trade lifecycle, cash management, reconciliation, corporate actions, communications and credit functions.
• Communicate, investigate and resolve trade, cash queries and issues raised by Advisors and Call Centre stakeholders.
• Actively manage risks related to trades and cash to avoid operational losses.
• Improve business processes and controls to mitigate operational risks.
• Communicate production updates and challenges to Management in a timely manner.
• Drive process improvements and collaborate with technology partners for data enhancements.
• Assist on projects by researching needs and developing/implementing solutions.
• Stay current with securities/investments industry developments impacting portfolios and custodial services.

Job description

The role is expected to operate based on understanding of the end to end trade lifecycle from Sales, including Cash Management, Portfolio Reconciliations, Asset Servicing, or any related disciplines. The role incumbent is also required to establish and maintain cordial relationship with various stakeholders, including internal and external parties.

• Perform day to day operations (may include quality checking) for Trade lifecycle, Cash mgt, reconciliation, corporate action, communications, and credit functions
• Communicate, investigate and resolve trade, cash queries, and issues raised by Advisors, Call Centre, and other stakeholders
• Actively manages risks related to trades and cash to avoid operational losses
• Improve business processes and controls to mitigate operational risks.
• Effectively communicate significant production updates and challenges to Management in a timely manner.
• Drive and assist on process improvements and collaborate with technology partners for data enhancements
• Provide assistance on projects – to meet Management requirements by doing research, identifying needs, and developing/implementing solutions
• Remain current with relevant securities /investments industry developments specifically those impacting the activities of assigned portfolios and/or internal clients and custodial service provider Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or any related course LOMA, Canadian Securities Certification or CFSI is preferred. Accounting. LEAN, Six Sigma (Scrum Master), Yellow belt trained/certified At least 4 year/s relevant professional experience preferably in Investment/Wealth, Securities or similar industry BPO/Shared Service experience would be an asset due to our collaboration with multi-national teams Intermediate/ Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook and Teams Preferably with experience in Mainframe and/or Form based applications

• Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) in English
• Very high attention to detail
• Analytical, research and problem solving skills
• Good exposure and working knowledge of Markets and Investment Products
• Interpersonal skills to interact with, establish relationships with the Business Units.
• Good time management skills with the ability to be flexible to changing environments
